Neera Mehta, Ph.D.

It is not easy to make the decision to start therapy, but I believe that the therapy process can help you understand the reasons for your symptoms and behaviors and help you make the desired changes in your life. In a warm and authentic manner, I will help you examine the ways in which you feel stuck or unfulfilled. We will work collaboratively to identify the obstacles to living the life you want and identify your unique strengths so that you can get on a path that works better for you.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and earned my doctoral degree from UC Berkeley. I then completed my internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Northwestern University, where I am currently an Assistant Professor. My clinical practice is enhanced by my involvement in teaching and supervising. I work with individuals and couples on a broad spectrum of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, intimacy, communication, identity and self-esteem, premarital counseling, life transitions, managing emotions, infertility, self-defeating patterns, culture and family.

Faven Simmons, MFT

There are times when life feels heavy and hard to navigate. You may feel unsatisfied in your relationships and want to find healthier patterns. You may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or reliant on coping mechanisms that don't truly serve you. Perhaps you're longing for someone who will genuinely listen and understand. If any of this resonates with you, I want you to know that healing and change are within reach.

I am a master's-level clinician pursuing my PhD in Couple and Family Therapy at Adler University, where I continue to deepen my expertise in providing culturally attuned, client-centered care. I specialize in working with couples, families, and individuals on their unique healing journeys. Grounded in attachment and systems theory, I focus on helping clients build self-awareness, reshape unhelpful relational patterns, and reclaim their voice. I work with a diverse range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and family distress, and cultural and racial stress.

Taking this step is powerful, and I want to honor the effort it took to get here. If you're curious about working together, whether in-person or via telehealth, I'm available for a free consultation call to see if it feels like a good fit.
